Question HELP! Can't find my stamped engine number and I'm here at DMV

Can anybody give me a detailed location?

Top of the fork, right side - might need a flashlight to see down there due to the fairing.

The engine # is on the top of the gear case behind the cylinders on the brake side faceing up.

That is the vin # if you turn your handelbars you sould be able to see it clearly on the neck.

its on the right side of the frame neck. Its 17 digits (#s and letters). If you cant see it clearly there check the safty decal on the left side of the frame where it meets the neck.

Im assuming its the VIN # needed. I have never had DMV ask for a engine #?

me too, but the OP is asking for the engine number... just trying to clarify his post/request.

in my experience, you never know what different locale/counties/states require to register vehicles.

Thats true. A buddy of mine, I forget where he was... was saying DMV required a him to do a pencil transfer of his VIN.

Differtent places different standards .
