If you still want that nice rumble without the ear bleeding loudness, check out the QC option from AreaP. Quite a few people here have it, they all love it. Not one bad comment.

I haven't personally heard the yoshi but I have the 15in area P. I personally think its perfect...when your cruising its more of a backround rumble if anything. When your accelerating its a bit louder...but would I call it loud? Only if you rip it past 10,000. My dad has driven in front of me in a car and has said he hasn't even heard it.

Oh yea, and its made in the USA by a member on this board...and is sexy as hell

Not to try and hijack the thread but how much different is the 15" AreaP from the 12" or the 18" QC? I haven't seen anything on the AreaP about the 15", does anyone have a link or info?

Andrew - I posted links with quiet core and the 15" both in the tech section - just search for area p sound clip and you'll find it

Have you thought about the sportisi motor full exhaust?? It is a full system for < 350 shipped and adds around 5 WHP bumping up to around 30-31 WHP. there are tons of threads about it in the classified section under the thread "special exhaust deal" as well as online at

www.sportisimoto-usa.com

Thanks! That's even better than the videos on the Area P site.

Sound aside, any power difference for lack of details from Area P? I'm liking the 15" can now.

The power gains are supposed to be the same as the standard/quiet core from what I remember when I talked with Kerry

Seems interesting if it doesn't need rejetting does that mean its really not flowing any more than the stocker?

No Modifications Necessary
Direct OEM Replacemet
No Re-jetting Necessary
Made In the Italy!

Oh and I love that its made in "the" Italy, I wonder how long it will take to get it shipped to the "Rhode" Island.

If it increases the flow of the exhaust it WILL need to be rejetted(or shimmed which works great too). Just adding an exhaust really won't do anything but add bling and sound. If you still have the same air/fuel ratio how could you be adding power? Maybe you won't have to rejet but I'm sure you will have to shim...

Unless that exhaust is designed to the same specs as stock you won't need to shim or rejet but then your spending money simply on sound and looks...and that's posing . I'd be careful of companies who make claims like that.

And also about the post about the sportisi full exhaust making 31 hp...yea maybe but just the exhaust aint gunna do that...that is most likely with a rejet or shimming(most likely jetting) but you could pm their distributer on this site who is an active member(z-track...cool dude)

thanks - agree that how can it claim more power, but no rejetting?? if the power comes from increased exhaust flow then intake (jetting) would have to be adjusted.

If it looks better to someone and it sounds better to someone yet doesn't make any more power, how is that posing?? It is simply giving someone 2 out 3 possible attributes of a different muffler. However I do agree about the suspicion of a claim that the hp increases w/o rejetting.

Your right, I apologize...you should buy the exhaust on attributes that you like and no one else. IMO a louder exhaust(even if it does look cooler and does sound better) reminds me of those coffee can mufflers that people used to put on their cars(guilty of that on my 1st car for ). But again I guess if someone likes it, their bike and their money.

No need to apologize. I probably should have said that I am not looking for very loud, just maybe a bit deeper, and a better look than the long chrome muffler, even a shorter stainless would be nice. One of the fears I have with any system i haven't seen (ok heard in person) is the large cans/small car type of thing like you mentioned. some of those small cars pushing a wide exhaust sound to me like a weed wacker on steroids - something I don't want.

You can't go wrong with the Area-P exhaust. The quality, performance and sound is top notch. Do a search. You'll see for yourself.

Area-P exhaust come in a huge range of sizes, loudness and materials (carbon, stainless).
