Bucking the trend, just bought a new iPod Classic and a Nano, making them the 7th & 8th ipods here in the house. Our music/video library is about 120 GB now, and really wanted a device to store all of it at once, and it looks like the Classic is a goner any day now (wasn't even mentioned in the press conference as part of the iPod lineup yesterday).

Been using iOS5 on my 3G[S] for a while now, and yeah it is definitely slick. Props to blueproof as iCloud has been flawless even while still in beta. Local FRS here appreciates the backup feature, as the first question I ask during appts "Is your data backed up". Eighty percent of the time the answer is either no or just confusion.

I know that... to an extent.

But how will I know I have iOS5. Does it just come in a normal update and I won't notice? Or can I go somewhere to get it and notice a difference. lol

I don't really know I haven't had time to keep up with this. What's it do!

The 3G won't support iOS5 will it? I think I remember reading that it won't. Probably a good thing if it doesn't, mine is so slow now that a new os would probably grind it to a halt lol.

I believe 3GS and up for iOS 5. From the benchmarks I've seen, iOS 5 makes the iPhone 4 faster.

Your phone is 3.5 years old, I think its time for you to update. I'll bet your computer isn't even that old lol

Anyone want to buy an AT&T iPhone 4 32gb?

I am selling my AT&T iPhone 4 32GB so I can do an early upgrade to the 4S. The phone has no scratches and has been in a case and screen protector since day one. I'm leaving the Anti-Fingerprint Anti-Glare screen protector on for you. The iPhone also comes with all the original accessories and the original box. I even have the original iPhone tool (for removing sim cards) and microfiber cloth. It also comes with 3 AGF Beetle cases, each a different color. They are still new and inside their original packaging. It also comes with the case I currently use which is a MiLi extra battery juice pack which charges the phone while you use it.

I have all of the SHSH Blobs saved for this iPhone. This allows you to restore the iPhone to any firmware you want, anytime you want. I will restore the iPhone to 4.3.3 unless you want it on a different version. I will also Jailbreak or Unlock it for you if you want.

The iPhone has no scratches or cosmetic defects

That is the MiLi juice pack next to the subway napkins.

Is this free iPhone for Verizon?
If still available, please let me know.

In in the market for a phone, I have an old moto Droid and I'm ready to replace it. I'm actually between the bionic and iPhone.

Thanks

Don't update your Iphone 4 to ios 5! Seems like myself and the rest of the world are having issues with this update. Going to the apple store and ATT to see if they can fix the problem or give me another replacement iphone.

Don't come to AT&T lol XD. We can help you learn how to use your iPhone but as far as fixing problems, Apple doesn't want you to come to us.

Make an appointment with Apple before you go, they will be very busy.

I did the IOS 5 update and it bricked my iphone. Couldn't get past the activation screen. Brought it to ATT to verify that the Sim was working and is good and paired up to the iphone. They called Apple support and was recommended to go to Apple to get a new replacement phone as they have not found a way to fix the problem with the update.

So 3 hours later, I got a new phone Iphone 4 with a good install of IOS 5.

Mark my words: iPhone 5 was delayed for Sprint's sake. Sprint was likely trying to negotiate exclusivity in the US market and may have been successful. This may mean that it will NOT have LTE as it was delayed for another reason and it certainly would not have had LTE if it were released with the iPhone 4S as originally expected.

Highly doubtful. Apple would not limit themselves to a smaller carrier unless they would make even more money out of it. I doubt that sprint has that kind of bankroll to keep Apple satisfied.

As far as LTE goes, Apple doesn't like to make their devices bigger, something that is required with the LTE chipset. LTE technology also sucks up more juice, something Apple won't go for. The only way Apple will apply LTE technology to it's phones is if they can make the chipset smaller and more efficient than GSM/CDMA tech.

Lol, I don't know about Illinois, but here in California, the only time I am without signal is when I ride into the unpopulated countryside.

Have fun with your 1Mbps download speeds, I mean it must seem lightning fast compared to dial-up right?

How about $20 BILLION?

Sprint "bet the farm" on a $20-billion deal that was discovered ONE DAY before everyone was expecting the announcement of BOTH an iPhone 4S and and iPhone 5. That's twenty BILLION, with a "B," dollars, and no one knows the details of it. If my hunch is correct, the iPhone 5 was supposed to be announced for all carriers the following day but plans changed as part of the Sprint exclusivity deal, thus, the lackluster iPhone 4S announcement that sent Apple stock down (people expected much more).

That's why I said it would NOT have LTE in the iPhone 5. All other outlets are saying that they are delaying it until next year to include LTE on a thinner all-in-one baseband chip but I doubt it. The Chinese accessory manufacturers have inside info about a much more finalized device. Also, 3G still kills your battery faster than Edge, so it only needs to be "comparable with other advancements," like a smaller PCB and a larger battery with a more power-efficient SOC. Also, the iPhone 3G was ever so slightly thicker than the original iPhone, so they are not as aversive to making it bigger than you think. It helps that the screen is expected to e larger so it can likely stay thin and include a larger battery. Another example is the white iPhone 4, which is a bit thicker than the black one.

I have thought this through. I'm not just spouting things without thinking. That's why I said: Mark my words.
