On*September 4, 2014*Arch Motorcycle Company*will launch a*new website with full specs and details on ordering the company’s*first model, the KRGT-1. Arch Motorcycles is a project of Keanu Reeves (note the bike’s nomenclature).

Since the announcement in October, 2012, to begin a new motorcycle company based on the*KR GT-1 prototype,*every aspect of the original prototype has been*revisited in order to optimize*the production version. The only surviving component is the front tire, and that decision is still under review.

The goal of the KRGT-1 is an American V-Twin production motorcycle*equally adept at long freeway runs, and local canyon carving. The production model also needs*to strike a provocative pose from all angles under all conditions.

One example of this commitment to aesthetics and performance is the unique downdraft intake system. The proprietary design eliminates the bulky breather assembly found on nearly all American V-Twins.

Months were spent months working closely with S&S Cycle and K&N Engineering to design*a package that could be hidden between our billet aluminum gas tanks and still keep the T124 engine properly aspirated. Finally, matching air dams were machined and positioned to frame the billet aluminum headlight assembly.

“A downdraft system made much more sense for this kind of motorcycle, and it helped deliver the clean lines and ride experience we needed,” says co-founder Gard Hollinger.
