Hello everyone

I have used this ninjette forum to answer alot of questions I have had about my 1st bike a 2007 ninja ex250r. its been amazing but a month ago one of the piston rod cap bolts came loose and locked My engine up while Joy riding on a warm Sunday. Not knowing any thing about motorcycles just mechanically inclined, I rebuilt the engine, replacing it with the obundence of used eBay parts, and I am still trying to get everything back correctly. I just want to say thank everyone for their knowledge and guidance on here it really helps more then you guys know.

Hello Cody, welcome! Good luck with the rest of the job... it sounds like you're almost there. How much damage was done when the engine locked?

It's shredded the bolt and got wedged between the balancer shaft (I think it's called) the the crank case. It made some crazy metal confetti. Marks on both the crank and balancer shafts noting really to bad. These engines are really easy to work on and along as I separated and marked everything it was simple to put back ( I made sure to have a service manual handy for torc specs)

Great that you are able to do this. I’ve been restoring a couple of Ninja 300s and the availability of cheap parts on eBay made this a pleasant and inexpensive process. Without this, it would be a very different story.
It would be nice to see some pictures of what you are doing here in this forum.

How do I add pictures? and 100% I'd love to add pictures showing what happened and what I did photo some of the process since some of my friends didn't think I could do it.
