San Jose California 250 Riders

Hey folks, are there any South Bay Area riders in NorCal? I got my first bike two months ago, 08 Ninja 250R, and I've been riding every chance I get but would love to ride with other 250's since most of my friends have 600's and 1000's. I hope to meet some of you soon!

250s can be just as fast as 600s/1000s! In fact my 250 is faster than my 1000!

I agree

I agree, however, I'm still a new riders and I'm just starting to get comfortable in the turns. When my friend rode my 250, others on 600's and 1000's couldn't keep up in the turns

She has no core strength and thus fails miserable at the p90x workouts. Maybe I can cut her leg off....

Hi Jerry,

Nice to have met you on the BARF Group ride. I was on the other blue new gen 250r. I hope you had fun and was a great experience for you. I am sure we'll run into each other again. Mean while, have fun, ride safe, and ALWAYS ride within your own limits.

BTW, if you're looking for a mentor to give you tips of how you can improve your street riding skills, look up Gixxergirl1000 on Barf, and or attend Doc Wongs riding clinic.

Other ways are going to the track. There are many track promoters with excellent instructors.

It was nice seeing you all Saturday. @408junglist, was the guy fresh from the MSF with you? Take the above advice. gixxergirl1000 has a bunch of newbie clinics and group rides. Docwong has one next weekend I think. Don't forget to pm or just ask us here on ninjette site to go for a ride. I'd even be down to go out and work on basic skills. You know, braking, steering, and looking far enough ahead, in a parking lot, then hitting the streets. The problem with some of the rides is that people get caught up with line theory and body positioning. That's very secondary information for new riders. Hope to see you all out there soon
