15/43 setup?

Can anyone tell me how they like the 15/43 setup vs 15/45? I'm thinking of doing the 15/43 before I ride my bike this spring. I have a 15t sitting on my desk and will go with the 15t over the 14t for sure.
Thanks for your help.

It depends a lot on what you want to accomplish.

I use a 15/44 combination to drop my RPMs from 10,250 to about 9,100 at a true 80mph. I sometimes have to downshift from 6th to 5th at lower speeds on significant grades.

FWIW, a rear 43 is not common. You'll find most places offer a 42 or a 44 for the EX250.

After trying all the gear set ups I like the 15/43 the best. Good compromise between acceleration and top speed.

Thanks, The guys at Monkey Wrench Cycles in Arlington have been a big help to me. I'll start with the 15t, and see if that's works for me. I don't want to lose to much power for my ridding style.

The guys at Monkey Wrench Cycles hooked my bike up with a 15t today. The bike is so calm and smooth in all gears. I would have to say that this is a must have mod for pre gen bikes. I can't wait till spring.
Thanks Monkey Wrench
