My Ninja 300 leans too much on kickstand

Just bought the bike today. Great bike except the bike looks like it leans too much on the kickstand and when I put a 1 inch spacer under the kickstand, it leans less and looks normal. The bike has never been down. If my kickstand was one inch longer, I would be happy. What can I do? I'm not a welder to add 1 inch to the bottom of the kickstand.

I don't know that particular stand since I have a 250, but put it on the center stand and take a look at the pivot bolt to see if it's tight. Also feel the play of the stand to see if the pivot it worn badly, and see if the stand is bent. You can then attack the problem(s) you find.

Welcome to the board, Frank!

The2014 Ninja 300 doesn't have a center stand, the kickstand doesn't look bent, there doesn't seem to be excessive play at the top of the kickstand. The bike just leans at a terrible angle. The bike has never been down, and the guy took excellent care of the bike. If I knew of another kickstand that was a little longer, I would find that one, somehow. They only seem to sell adjustable kickstands that are for bikes that have been lowered.

You can drill some holes through kickstand pad and screw in an aluminium block underneath.

Fixed the kickstand!

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I went looking for a piece of aluminum at Home Depot. Couldn’t find anything I needed. Passed the wood tool aisle, and my
McGiver mind found this aluminum square and the rest is history! Cut a chunk off of it and now it’s on my kickstand.

I wonder if your bike has a taller tire than stock? I have that same problem on my 250 which has taller than stock pirellis.

I’ll check that! I wonder what the stock tires should be?
