02 250 - Service Manual

I do apologize if I missed this somewhere on this site. I was given a free 02 250 that has not run in ages and sat in a garage, has 8500 miles on it and leaky fork seals. I found the wiring diagram on this site and that is huge it will help me get the wires that were cut back in line.

My question is I want to buy a service manual, and online there a ton of different places to get it both to download, subscribe and original paper version. Has anyone bought a service manual somewhere for an 02 they can recommend?

Thanks!

It's been too long since I got a download off eBay for that source to still be around, but I'm sure someone here will know something.

In the meantime, have you found this? https://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Ninja250_Howto

If you want a pro carburetor restoration, Ducatiman here is the guy to talk to.

And welcome to the board, Dan!

I bought mine from eBay. Remember there's two parts to the manual. The original manual, and the supplement manual. The supplement accounts for any changes that have been made since the big original manual came out.

Since you said you have a 2002, a supplement manual anywhere from 2002-2007 will work.

I do remember getting both for a very reasonable price from eBay, and in very good condition too.

I was able to find one, with the supplement really cheap. Now its time to rescue this poor bike, it has had a hard life.

Nice!

Also, you can find lots of useful maintenance stuff here: https://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Ninja250_Howto

Lots of pictures too, which is really helpful.

Oh yeah, been using that FAQ and it is better than the service manual . Very useful info will make getting this bike back on the road after sitting for 10 years easier.

Thanks!
