Sold my ninjette, bought a VFR750

It's been 14 months since I started riding, and after wrecking my '04 ninjette over the summer I realized it wasn't worth pouring money into it to get it back to perfect shape. So the ninjette has been sold and a '91 VFR750 has been bought. The VFR is an amazing bike. Not nearly as flickable as the ninjette, but so much more power and torque. It's just about as fast as a 600cc super sport and handles nearly as well. Plus the V4 and gear driven cam sound, single sided swingarm, and 17" wheels are all very nice to have. It is weird having a hydraulic clutch though. The friction zone is quite small and takes a while to become accustomed. I just have to replace all the fluids and front tire and she'll be ready to go!

Nice bike to ride. I've been riding a VFR750 since 83.

Yeah... At least it's not a ZX-10 like Jiggles. The VFR has a V4, a similar riding position to the ninjette, and is fairly forgiving in it's handling. But as mentioned earlier the top end power is comparable to a 600cc with an extra 10-15 ft/lbs of torque . I feel it's a logical step between a ninjette and say an R6 or CBR600.

I bought a 1994 VFR750 as a second bike. It was awesome while it lasted. I had it for about two weeks, and all electrical stuff started failing on it.

I took it back to the dealer, and got my current FZ6.

Just heads up

Yeah... The R/R already failed on it. And it was one of the newer designed ones with cooling fins and all. The PO had the wiring harness replaced as well. I have receipt of the work being done at a dealer. Luckily the bike didn't cost too much so I'm going to try to fix it and keep it for a bit longer.

really nice bike, that generation is really sought after and the back wheel is wicked.

i had a 97 a few months back, loved it to death. It was the last year for the carbs and it had gear driven cams. All you need is a fan on the R/R and a little wiring upgrades to the charging system and it will last a lifetime.

It's not nearly as good as the ninjette. I was getting 65-70mpg on my ninjette but now I'm looking at 45-55mpg on the VFR.
