Anyone have front axle spools/sliders on their 250?

Just curious if anyone has front fork spools on their 205R and if so, can you please provide a pic and what type they are. I am thinking of adding some front axle spools, but I can not find any pics of the on our 250's. I am wandering if the axle spools for the other Kawi bikes are the same size.

I have them for the 10R, but often don't put them back on after I change out the front wheel. Is the axle on our Ninjette hollow? If I remember correctly, it's not, so I don't know how the spools would mount. The ones I have are on a 8" or so bolt that goes all the way through the axle and the spools mount on either side. I'm not sure that they will protect a whole lot of anything if the bike goes down anyway; if it gets to the point where that side of the fork is already hitting something solid, a whole bunch else would have had to have broken in the first place.

Due to the geometry of the bikes, they're an answer in search of a question. Save your money for more gas or a few oil changes.

What about just for lifting the front end? Though I guess all it would really do is let you spin the wheel easier for cleaning, no help for wheel removal.

I've never seen stands that are made for front spools, typically the stands hook up under the fork legs or into the tripletree.

I believe there are some bikes that would hit the forks if the bike low-sided. These are designed to prevent that damage. I have them on my 1000RR but never knew they were offered for the 250R.

if it's the same material as the other shogun sliders they don't weigh much at all

sigh... they won't protect your bike from damage, most front stands aren't designed for spools. the only benefit i can see is you can use 2 rear stands to prop up your bike.

All the pics I've seen it looks like a typical rear stand being used on the front spools.
