Consequences for not lubing chain

Worst case scenario...whats the worst that could happen if you don't lube your chain. I know a rider that had a bike for about 2yrs '07 Ninja 650 and NEVER LUBED THE BIKE CHAIN. I was shocked that it hadn't broken yet and I urged her to clean it and lube it immediately as she kept the bike outside 24/7. I've never really heard of anyone not lubing their motorcycle chain but what could possibly happen if you never lube the chain?

Early chain failure, sprocket wear. If it gets so bad that the chain actually breaks, the damage can be significant depending what speed the bike is at when it fails. At high speeds, it can damage bodywork, engine cases, or other parts nearby.

If the Ninja 250 doesn't have enough power for you, then you don't know how to ride it.
