2011 Special Edition without decals

I took the plunge and took off most of the stickers off of the fairings. It looks a bit naked right now, but I think I'll get used to the look soon enough. The bike looks a little bigger and I always loved the few plain white ones you see online and hopefully this helps others with the 2011 SE decide.

nothing better than a clean white bike imo. One day I really want the same setup, but with gold powder coated wheels and matching accessories.

Looks really nice.

That looks sharp man. I wish i had gone with the white SE now and done that. I didn't like the decals on it so went with a '10 red one.

Love the plain white. I would've gotten all white if it were an option. Now paint the rear to match, remove the graphics from the tank/fairings and you're all set. (and maybe ditch the rim tape, but that's just my personal taste )

Very good looking! Paint the rear and lose the rim tape and one of the best I have ever seen! IMO (besides black )

Either way I like it

What method did you use to remove the stickers? Heat gun?

I used a hair dryer to warm the decals and peel them off, although I removed mine in 30 degree weather.

Without the hair dryer they kept breaking into smaller pieces, with the hair dryer they pulled off in mostly one piece. I would bet leaving the bike out in the sun on a warm day would make pulling the decals off really easy without a hair dryer.

For any left over adhesive I used goo gone with a clean towel.

I had bought the white SE with the intention of removing all the decals that I could, but the design has kind of grown on me. I still detest the spatter white on the tail and will be going to get that painted white eventually.

I kinda like the 3 color combo, hated the 80'ish looking paint splashes, so those came off.
But I did leave the black/red stickers.

I like the idea of the white rear seat cowl, wonder how it will look on the pure black tail (plz post a pic if you do this).
I was planning on a black seat cowl, as I kinda like the white front and black rear of mine.

I don't think the white seat cowl would look good on the black.. at least after putting the black cowl on mine I love the way it looks.

You'd definitely have to paint the tail white if you were going to go for a white seat cowl.

Dude, it works. I got a white helmet with some reflective tape on it and I notice cars slowing down and straightening out in front of me. Then I just cruise by them.

Go with the dark smoke ZG DB wind screen. That'll "blacken up" the front a bit as well. Will look sweeeeet.

Strange wing mirrors. The way they're sticking out so far makes them look like those ones you put on cars so you can see past your trailer.

I have a question for you guys who removed the decals on your white se. I got mine on lay away until september. One of my favorite things that won me over were the little ninja stars on the back there.are those still on your bike after you removed the stickers? As in, are the stars apprt of the paint or are they appart of the stickers?
