Engine-to-Header gaskets (NewGen)

I rebuilt my first 250 which I had previously crashed when I got brake-checked on the freeway, and in putting it back together I put the header into the two holes for the pipes and bolted em down. Everything looked fine - but to be totally honest, I didn't notice if I needed gaskets. I thought it was funny that I didn't have any but it fit perfectly, but now I've got quite an exhaust leak from that spot so I'm **FACEPALM**ing myself but I can't find aything about gaskets for the pregen.

Am I retarded or could it actually be something else making the exhaust leak?

Thanks

(Of course its a NewGen, I forgot which section I was in, and don't laugh at me! haha)

I would get some tubing, remove the fairings, start the bike, put one end of the tube in one ear, and CAREFULLY use the other tube end to listen for exhaust leaks. If there is one, it will be obvious if you are doing it right. If you determine you need new gaskets, then certainly order some. When these gaskets are new they look nothing like used ones. The used ones are squashed flat, but the new ones are almost round.

AreaP sells some really nice gaskets that are much thicker than OEM. These are the ones I would buy.... actually I did buy them.
