Brake pads

Brake pads
At 12000 miles my 2008 ninjette brake pads need replacement. Would appreciate any recommendations on what to replace them with. I cannot find the OEM info. EBC has always worked for me but I don't which ones to order and the internet so far hasn't helped as they only list EX250 pads and not 2008 specific. I doubt the new gen uses the same pads as first gen but could be wrong. Also any tricks to replacing the pads. Seems the securing bolts on the rear are somewhat difficult to access. Once the caliper is in hand is the removal process of the pads obvious?
Thanks, Bill

I'm partial to the EBC's (FA197HH).

Replacing them is a piece of cake.

I just brought my bike in for a service and they also replaced the front pads. I requested the EBC HH pads (the outgoing set was EBC HH) but was advised away from them. According to the shop owner, they've had problems with EBC pads chewing up rotors in just the past few months--she speculated that they changed something about how they're manufactured.

Anyone heard anything similar?

i haven't heard anything like that... i've always had good results with ebc's though i bought many sets at once and i still have one set left so it's been a while since i bought any...
did they perhaps offer you a "better" brand? did that brand happen to cost twice as much?

They just put stock pads on it instead.

I have EBC non-HH on my rear and my rear rotor is all messed up (concentric rings of wear vs. even wear on the front). I don't think EBC caused it though. My OEM pads came apart and caused metallic contact and the pads I used after those were cheap "Sixity" pads from eBay (on third set at 24k miles; probably should be on 5th+).
