I'm ok with a warning when you exceed the speed limit. It's nice ot know. I'm not a fan of actual limiters, though.

Japanese auto-makers have had these limiters under gentlemen's agreement for decades. Teenager with android/arduino can probably remove it in seconds...

Why is the Ninja now 400 cc? Because they were having meeting emission on the 300 in the EU.

So from the article it sounds like you can for now.

While I hate the idea of speed limiters, I would like a reverse cruise control.

Here in VA the highway speed limit is 70 mph, you normally can get away with 10 mph over the limit. But 80 mph or over is reckless driving with criminal penalties. I'd like to be able to set the car to not exceed 79 mph.

We had a BMW car for a while that would ding when you exceeded the limit that you punched in. So some cars have had at least the notification.
