Newbie saying HELLO from SF, CA!

Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone here @ ninjette.org. My name is Dino from San Francisco, CA. I've always been a big fan of motorcycles and I finally decided after living on this planet for 38 years that it was time to get one. I never rode before, took the MSF training class 2 weeks ago, bought a 2006 EX250 for $500 bucks on the Monday following, and got my temporary M1 endorsement on Wednesday. Took the bike up HWY 1 through Half Moon Bay and really felt bad for not knowing about 'the wave' and acknowledging the other riders (I wish someone would've clued me in about it). Well anyways, now I know... it's been 8 days since and I've already ridden over 200 miles (last 2 days have been ugly/raining). I registered to learn more about the bike and do some DIY stuff. Already had to replace the worn rear brake pads with some EBC organics and looking to replace the tires with some Pirelli Sport Demons (the front is worn - Dunlop stock tire. And the rear is actually decent but a Cheng Shin tire). Anyways, HELLO!

A. Wave back because its common politeness
B. Do nothing and wonder what that was all about
C. Flip them the bird because obviously they are an Asshole.

You got some great riding areas around you, I miss living in San Fran area but not the cost of living there!

Thanks for having me! Honestly, I wanted the bike to getaway and forget about all the bad ISH that's been happening to me lately! I just hope it doesn't get to me while riding... I find a comfort in just riding.

I usually just pick my nose but almost injured myself because I did a head nod to acknowledge (not the most pleasant of feelings)! I guess the picking part would be hard to do with the windscreen down on your helmet, huh???

The ride up the coast is great! There are lots of areas in the peninsula (west) that I'd like to check out on the bike...
