Hello from the I.E., Cali

Hello!

I've had my bike for a little over a year (I just rolled past 10000 mi today, woo hoo!) and I love it to bits and pieces!

Found this site trying to figure out a problem I'm having with my turn signals. Sometimes they flash fast, sometimes they don't. A coworker suggested that maybe the flasher relay was going bad. Does that sound feasible? Or could it be something in the wiring? Hmmm...

At any rate, any others out my way (i.e., the I.E., or the Inland Empire, 909, 951, etc.)?

Could be a turn signal bulb filiment, if the lights flash fast. Have you checked the bulbs, or modified the signals?

Is this happening on both left and right sides?

Welcome to the forum!

On the signal issues, have you done any modifications to the signals or are they all bone stock?

hello & thank you!

Thank you for the kind welcome!

The turn signals have been modded. I had help putting them in the empty pods by the back light cuz I dropped it a month after riding when a deer decided to cross the road in front of me one night

The filaments in the bulbs look fine.

The fast flashing happens on both sides.

I've hooked it up to a multimeter, but I can't remember, nor have I been able to find, what my readings should be.

Any nudging so I can get to wrenching on my '04 would be much appreciated! (Should I possibly repost this in the appropriate forum, too?)

Welcome!

I'm actually living in Eastvale right now, if you know where that is. It's actually a new area in Corona towards Chino Hills, but the community here is fighting to have it's own title and thus why it's called Eastvale. Where are you located?
