Annoying vibration at 6k RPMs

My bike has developed an annoying vibration noise. It occurs at 6k RPMs. It doesn't matter which gear I'm in. It sounds like it's coming from the left side of the instrument cluster. It sounds like a piece of paper flapping but I can't find anything! The vibration goes away once I'm past 6k and doesn't begin until I get to 6k. Other than the noise, the bike is running great. Any ideas other than turning the music up?

A vibrating clutch lever is a common reason for this problem.

Try placing your hand over the lever when you hear the sound again.

That's where it sounds like it's coming from but it's not the problem. First thing I tried. The noise is aggravating as hell!

With the help of a friend, you may be able to pinpoint the source.

I would believe that some bolt or nut in that area has gotten loose.
