You could always try a shot of silicone spray at the moving joint(s).

Thanks so much for both posts. Lots of great info! I think my clutch definitely needs lubing.

Also, FYI, I truly appreciate your last sentence in your first post response For people like me, it's people like you that are invaluable!

OH, I could try that. I guess I could just bring the bolt to Home Depot to find out the size of the washer? Wait, it looks like there is a washer on there. I could just bring that one in...never mind

Or drill a hole in a penny or dime (home made washer).

Really? Very stupid question...where do I get some? Do I have to be careful when spraying that stuff around that part of the bike? Will any silicone spray work?

Silicone spray is available at any hardware store or automotive store.

Try a quick spray and wipe away the excess with a rag or napkin. The liquid in the spray evaporates, leaving a light film of silicone.

Keep the spray away from your tires, foot pegs, shift lever, and brake pedal (things your boot might slip on...).

OK, thanks. I'll go to Home Depot now and try it.

The washers didn't help secure the fairing. Oh well. At least I know what the noise is.

I sprayed silicone on the clutch thingy by the clutch box and it worked...no squeaky noise now.

Thanks for all the help peeps!

Regular oil will do.
Just apply a few drops wherever two surfaces come together while pumping the clutch hand lever until the noise is gone.

Could you post a picture of the noisy bolt?

You are welcome

Ahh yes, the Ninja gearbox CLUNK. Loud isn't it?

It happens from time to time. The gear footlever doesn't always engage the gear properly, so essentially the gearbox is in a false neutral until it slips to the closest gear, with a loud clunk.
