How high do Steve's links raise the tail?
Go cheap on the front. Buy some washers. Add a couple mm of preload, and go with a slightly heavier fork oil. It will take you all of 30 minutes to have a slightly less suckish front end |

Why don't you just get the Woodcraft clipons with the risers?

^ that. Then just put the WC ones with risers as low as they'll go on the fork tubes.

I actually have those for my J-series. The question wasn't for anyone in particular. It was to determine if they would be necessary going forward or if low-cost generic 37mm clip-ons were feasible with the 300/L-series. I'm working on adapting the SV650 41mm clipons to the F-series' 36mm forks. The Woodcraft ones will probably bolt right on but the triple shape is such that they would have to bolt lower and, thus, would not clear even with the rise. The clamping portion of the SV650 ones is thin enough to mount on top, though I plan to thin them more so that they are flush with the rest of the triple clamp. From there, I plan to make an overlay that makes the triple look more like the J/K/L/300-series and makes the clip-ons appear to rise from underneath. It's all about cosmetics with this bike.

So can someone confirm the proper size clip ons for the 300? 37 mm, with risers?

NM must be 37mm, but riser or not? Or do either work?
