I shall look out for this when we get our 300's. Didn't have a problem on the test ride.

250s never stalled though (And we get the FI version here)

300 Stalling issues.

I took Leon (my 300 named after the king Leonidas in the movie 300) in for an ECU replacement under recall last week Thursday. Never had any issues but my local dealer called and said I need to bring it in and leave it there until the new CPU comes in and is replaced. Luckily I have other bikes to ride, otherwise it would have sucked to be without a bike for so long. The weather over here is perfect for riding right now.

Something similar happened on my ride today. Forgive me, but I SUCK at trying to explain mechanical stuff.
So I was accelerating hard enough to barely touch redline in 1st-4th gears. I smoothly rolled off the throttle preparing to brake for a light ahead and the bike kinda "lurched" 3-4 times in almost perfect synchronicity as I was engine braking.
Would this be a fuel injection issue? I have 300 miles on the bike and have been taking it easier than normal during the break-in period, but I have touched redline a few times in an attempt to ensure the pistons have seated correctly. I've been riding pretty moderately, erring on the side of taking it easy on her.
She's a blast and a half! Loving my 300!

Did you check if the recall service was done on the ECU?

I guess I assumed recalls would have been taken care of by this time of the year, but that's a damn good point. I'll have to call and find out. Thank you!

Assumption is hardly ever prudent when it comes to safety

I am glad this came up. When I pulled out my registration card to get the vin I found that it was expiring in 12 days.

So in running the VIN, it looks like I still need to have them fix the Brake Caliper recall. The ECU isn't listed, so I wonder if that means they already took care of it? I'm going to call the dealer this week and check on it.

What is a can or worms you just opened.

Your dealer is wrong. If you try both like I did, you will see no difference except your wallet will be lighter using premium.
