I meant a camera for liability reasons. My main purpose of originally buying a camera was so that I would be able to prove without a doubt in any instance that I wasn't at fault for any collision. Also if you have a single vehicle collision but it's caused by another car, that only shows up on film

yeah if you take a look around there are quite a few 250 vloggers, iamramekin and blinkycab are usually the two most known. Although, i think iamramekin upgraded.

indeed. that's when we bought the camera. after he tried to fly... it was a messy MESSY lawsuit... (please explain to me in what world a buell blast moves 600 feet in less than a second from a dead stop...

It depends, do we live on a world where bikes have rockets strapped to them?

Yea dude it sucks. Today for the first time I was able to do my exercises where I have to lift my left leg 5 times with no help. Super difficult, doesn't hurt much with the pain meds though. It's been over 2 weeks since the accident

You sure #1 isn't child birth and then #2 is femur?

btw, the cop said if he'd hit the door of the car he'd have killed the baby (that wasn't even hers!) in the back seat of the car from the impact.

Definitely not! Femur for one lasts way longer. And, c'mon, epidural!

technically, he hit her, but it was her fault because she cut infront if him at an unsafe speed and distance. i'm a little fuzzy on details because i wasn't there and he was totally drugged for 3 months lol but i know that he did everything he was supposed to to avoid the accident (from the cop) and that she saw him and didn't care (also from the cop and from her lawyer (yep even her lawyer thought she was an idiot lol))

he broke his pelvis when he hit the ground from my understanding. he broke the lower loop of the bone on his right side, he flew over her car at an angle. he was wearing his boots and his armored vest and his gloves. he got some pretty decent roadrash on his elbow and totally screwed his wrists up. they were all swollen and gross and purple and green nothing they could do for him because it's too dangerous to try to pin that area because that's where your organs sit so they gave him crutches (his choice) and percocet and said good luck! (he waddled like a duck for a good 3 weeks... lol)

edit//and his helmet! of course.

Well I hope you bought him some pants and a jacket! The padding in the hips from pants could have prevented his injuries

he's got them now! he was wearing his dickies, he was on the way home from work. He has a nice jacket now too, not sure about pants though... He's been looking at the airbag jackets too. I'm not sure if the padding in the pants would have helped actually... it was the way he hit the pavement and the way his body bounced that broke his pelvis... I'm all for more protection though! time to hound him about getting pants! he's got plenty of room to store them in the burgman now!

I was actually on my way to a motorcycle store to buy some pants when the accident happened. The way my leg broke pants wouldn't have helped but they can definitely save you from some serious knee and hip injuries. I mean think about it, his hip bone had contact with the pavement, there isn't much meat in the way. Some CE armor would have helped absorb the impact and could have prevented the fracture.

How come nobody is every talking about GS500f's instead of 650r's and other 650cc sport bikes? GS500F has the handsome looks of a full sized full fairing bike, while still keeping power down to 47hp or so. The 500r isn't bad but I know most people pass it up because of looks probably.

The 250r definitely sounds like the bike for you, and your concerns with the size sound silly, as you say your boyfriend says you'll be blown off jokingly because you're tiny... I'm 6' and 180lbs and the 250r feels right at home when I sit on them... the 650r is only marginally larger. The cbr250 does feel much too small because of its more narrow saddle area, but the 250r is as full bodied as any other sport bike *shrug* Being higher up off the ground nly gives you a longer distance to fall, or more room for the bike to build mmentum for a low speed drop... probably not things a beginner who is tiny needs added to other stresses of learning to ride... from one newb to another haha

The GS500F is ugly as crap! And the only problem I see with going for a 500 is that they are no longer produced. Originally I wanted a 500, then a 650, then decided on the 250 and was very happy with my decision.

The 500s are also incredibly hard to find, I spent a month looking and never found one, then when I went to buy my 650 the dealer had a GS500f in his lot. I sat on it, looked at it, and was happy I never picked one up.

Why are we going on topic????
