What earplugs do you use?

I bought a huge pack of Howard Leight Max Lites a year ago and have been using them since. I thought were fine until I tried a pair of 3M 1100s recently and find they seem to work a LOT better for my ears. What earplugs do you guys use personally?

I use NoNoise that I picked up at my local BMW place. Just picked up my second set after seven months of reusing them (I had split the seam along the part that sticks out of my ear).

I find them comfortable, easy to insert and remove, quickly washable, and quiet enough that all day riding doesn't drive me bonkers.

Dems are awesome: http://www.hearos.com/earplugs/carracing

However, I usually just use my Etymotic Research ER-6i's earbuds, whether I play I music or not doesn't matter. They have a significant DB loss and that way I only have to carry one thing!

I use big ear custom molded ones. They are nowhere near worth the $60+ price tag, but they were well-worth the $20 I paid for them.

I bought a big box of 3m's as well, but NASCAR Spark Plugs work slightly better. My concern is that the spark plugs are really really long, and I don't wanna damage my ear/pack wax down in there. So 3m it is.

I use a set of Surefire EP3 (now called EPS) earplugs. I appreciate the optional filter and they are supremely comfortable. Also they double as my range set when I want to go shooting.

I usually use the generic green ones. But I hated having to squish them together and wait a bunch of time for them to settle in my ear, and then half the time I'd put on my helmet and the damn thing would fall out or loosen up just a tiny bit... which was enough to drive me NUTS.

So I bought these: http://www.amazon.com/Etymotic-Resea...ords=ear+plugs

They are MUCH easier to install, but I must admit they do not block enough noise in my opinion. I usually just use them around town and if I'm going to go on the highway I use the regular foams...

Although I admit sometimes I forget the ear plugs all together on rides... I know, I know.. BAD

Plug-up S-plug earbuds. Relatively expensive ($130+), but worth every last penny twice over.

And no, I'm not listening to music while I ride. I'm an NPR and podcast addict.

For those times when I forget the iPod/phone, I keep a couple pair of generic foam plugs in the tail. Pretty much doesn't matter what I use, as long as they're comfy and stay put when I pull my helmet on.

Another +1 on these. I had a pair that worked great, but they seem to have gone missing. I should just give them up for lost and pick up a new pair. Meanwhile I've just been using generic foamies, they get the job done but not as well.
