Merry Xmas - Contest for a free track day! V2

Just so ya'lls knows...

I am wanting to make someone's FIRST TIME track riding dreams come true as best I can, by paying for a track day for the winner. I will do my best to ensure the winner gets me as a coach but since I don't choose a rider's skill level and I cannot guarantee that or my group assignment for the day.

What I can guarantee though;

1. A fully track prepped bike to ride (n250 or r6, rider's choice)
2. A fully prepaid track day, including lunch
3. A fully prepared pit spot; chairs, drinks, snacks, electric, tools, warmers... all the good stuff that the track veterans have (maybe even a garage if available)
4. The full gambit of track/race skilled coaches to answer any and all questions and help along the way
5. A day full of laughs and good times and at least one coach that will go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure you have the best track experience possible

The winner of the contest (TBD) will win a gift cert from Mid-Ohio that can be used for 2yrs from the time of issue.

Entry Deadline: Dec. 24th 12:59:29 EST

Requirements to enter;

1. Create an intro thread if you do not already have one
2. Post a pic of your bike in intro thread or link in THIS thread to your bike (a 250 is not a bike requirement, any bike you are willing to bring to the track is fine enough)
3. You must not have completed an entire track day... EVER! aka, a 2nd attempt is ok this go round
4. You must come with an open mind and be willing to learn real skills that will save your skin

And last but not least, you are going to have to put up with me for the day. Cause I will be in your face after every session.

Winner will be selected at random via a nerf gun contest governed by @Alex's choosing if he so agrees or I will pick a winner at random.

Good luck to you all!

More info...

Link to Mid-Ohio's PTR (Performance Track Riding) program. http://midohio.com/mid-ohio-courses/...12-motorcycles

A quick note about gear. Please don't let the lack of gear hold you back from entering. Between what me and my friends have extra and what is available from Mid-Ohio, we should be able to gear you up for the day. And fyi, for Novice group (which is what this contest is for), you are permitted to use textile gear. Complete bike/gear requirements are can be found here. http://midohio.com/faqs/60-school/40...ts#motorcycles

Also, the 2018 schedule has not been posted yet. A more complete schedule should be posted near the start of Feb. or first week in Feb.

Deadline Dec. 24th 12:59:29 With the winner to be drawn TBD in the first or 2nd week of Jan.

So it looks like you have roughly 20 days to figger out how to attach an image to a post or use a free hosting provider to link your image. Shouldn't be too hard.

lol CC,

Come to Jennings in Feb and I will buy your track day. But, there is a catch. You have to ride a bagger in N and... I wanna hear the radio play going down the front straight. You know HD's are loud, so you're gunna have to rock that full blast.

Deal?

Hey, I'll bring my old bagger with a boom-box and she can run down the front straight. Cool?

It had pictures in it before Photo Bucket puked.

Here is the Sportster.

Nice, VaFish is our first official entry that completed the requirements. Now the question is... are you gunna ride the Sportster or one of my bikes if you win?
@Singh2jz just has to figger out how to post a pic lol. Then you're officially on the list.

An old boom-box you say? Cool, I got the Run DMC, Grand Master Flash and Sir Mix Alot tapes, and a big piece of cardboard. The pics and vid will be epic!

I have personally chatted with a couple of ninjette members that have didn't have the "best of luck" their first track experience. aka... they had a mechanical issue, requirements issue or simply crashed out their 1st or 2nd session of their first track day and haven't been back since.

Henceforth: A second attempt at a first complete track day.

Make sense?

I will most likely ride the Sportster to Ohio. I'd probably have to flip a coin between your 250 and the Sporty for the track day.

I can see a lot of benefit from riding my daily rider on the track.

However if I ride it there, I'll need to ride it home. So if I break it on the track that would not be good.

If you win Mr. Fish, we can work something out to get you there and home save and sound. Perhaps you do what others have done with me, just ride to Northern KY, park your ride and haul up with me.

We got options and it's still early.

Fair warning... I only bite on Tuesdays, and normally Mid-Ohio has plenty of Tues. dates. Your call, lol.

I would but wouldn't pass tech because on the NOS.

Remember the guy on the Goldwing at the Dragon!

I'm supposed to go to Jennings with my buddy Dale but I'm not sure of his schedule for there. I was hoping he had the track to himself. That way I'd pass tech and could play my favorite Taylor Swift as I drift.

I do like that new Fatboy and Sport Glide. I have to get in touch with my buddy Dave Veracka and see what kinda of deal he can give me. If not the new Suzuki R is supa dupa right up my alley. I wish it wasn't black (that makes it look so much like a Harley).

I just picked Lexington as a location, It's closer for me to go straight to Ohio. I can trailer the bike too.

I'm not sure of the rules (I'm am sure I already won but it can't be announced for security reasons). As the winner someone comes and picks up my bike, buys me new gear and new tires, transports my bike and gear to said track, I get chauffeured to and from airport here and also in Ohio (wherever that is), food and drink(s) will be provided in abundance, there will be numerous women available (no couch needed) for me convenience, and I get full training, tutoring, mentoring from the best member, Mr. Wonderful, the legendary trackdog, csmith12 (who I hope isn't really 12).

Yes sir, you're officially entered.

I do notice that your location says "San Jose." Mid-Ohio is in Ohio, that is a pretty long trip. Just making sure you are fully aware.

This thread went dead for a while after everyone found out I had won. It's good to see some people still believe in hope. After all it's Christmas time and people have big expectations.
