Help with handlebar ends

I purchased these handlebar ends

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gold-Bar-End...6778b2&vxp=mtr

They are the universal type. I removed the stock bar ends from my 2008 Ninja 250 and I don't think it fits even though the seller claims it firs the 250. Am I doing something wrong?

Could you be more specific as to how they don't fit? Too big, too small, not long enough bolt, too long bolt, flange in the way etc........

Bolt too skinny. Bar ends were designed for handlebars with wider opening and is held in place by a widening mechanism. Can't find any way to make it fit.

New bar end beside stock bar end.

i think you'll have to remove the expanding flange, unless you have clip ons.

if the bolt is the wrong size you'll have to get a matching bolt, i think the size is m8x1.25

The stock bolt is too big to fit into the hole in the new bar end. Even if I did get the right size bolt it wouldn't fit anyway. With the expanding flange or not, doesn't seem to be a way to make this fit lol

if you took all the stuff off, and used the bar end itself, does it fit right?

if so just find someone with a drill press and get the hole widened for a stock screw, then you'll have to go to the hardware store and see if you can find a bolt that matches the stock one and has the right length

That bar end is to be used in a clip-on's tube of 17 mm (11/16") diameter; hence, there is no way to make it fit in the stock handle bars.

Besides, they are light (aluminum) and will probably create handling problems (steering wobbling):

That link says that they will accept return and will pay for shipping it back.

I got those same bar ends but kept them because I was switching to clip-ons. I found that they didn't fit my SV650 clip-ons either. I forget what I did to make them fit, but I did.
