Windshield shimming

I was inspired by my bud Doggiepooch to add a few spacers under the shield/mirrors to get a bit more smooth air at speed.

He used a few rubbery washers, a pair on the rear mount bolt, a single in front to tilt the shield a bit more upright.

I ended up grabbing 4 3/8" nylon spacers. The stock bolts are about 4X as long as they need to be already so no new hardware was needed.

With a little stretching and slight force, it went together under my Kawi touring screen. See the following posts for a few pics. I may try to reduce the front mount height to get the screen more vertical as I see what/if anything changed.

Thanks to DP for the advice!
