I Have Mods on my Ninjette Engine

Curious to find out what percentage of ninjette members have done any type of mods to enhance the power of their bike by doing any sort of motor mods as opposed to keeping it completely stock. It can be as simple as an added air filter or as extensive as tearing it down and rebuilding it to enhance performance.

Thanks for your time.

Yep I modified it. I was going to wait till the warranty was over but the bike needed some livening up. I haven't done much though...just the needle shimming and taking the snorkel off. May add a full exhaust one day or a I may not, not sure at the moment. Kawasaki definitely could have tuned these bikes a bit better IMO.

The bike felt way too lean from factory (I guess to meet emissions, esp for CA). I have everything done possible mostly because it's fun and to get the experience, not really to add any power. It's definitely more user friendly in the low end now though.
K&N pods
Yoshi pipe
Removed kleen air and snorkel
Dynojet

The pods also make getting into the guts of the bike easier. MPG probably dropped a little (counteracted with a 15T), but I hardly ever use choke and it has never stalled from a cold start.

I just got my 12k km service done (at 17k hehe), and they did valve adjustments and said they did some adjustment with the needle. It's running incredibly well right now without any odd flat spots in the throttle and it pulls harder (actually it's a bit boring now), and the fuel econ has gone up by a bit.

Does this count as engine mods?

just a couple of modifications.

1. A yoshimura carbon fiber full exhaust system.
2. Stage 2 dynojet kit.
3.k&n high performance air-flow filter.

And just changed a couple of other things like
- skidmarx rear tyre hugger
- skidmarx dark double bubble windscreen.
- skidmarx headlight cover
- proton flush mount indicators
- bike monkeys integrated tail light with indicators (removed stock indicators)
- fender eliminator with led plate bolts

Most of the stuff were for looks. Hahaa im gunna have the bike for a while so i figure id have abit of fun with it.

Hehehe and that is just the engine . The next engine will be bored and sleeved to 282cc, Carillo rods, ARP studs top and bottom, balanced rotating assembly, lock up clutch, electric water pump and even more nitrous.
The only thing stock of the bike is the swing arm and I will add four inches to that over the winter. Not for traction . But to allow for a longer rear fairing.

Well, it likely will be better at hard launches as an added benefit.

I really don't do hard launches, It is a 250 after all. And unleashing all 14 ft lb of torque is like unleashing the kittens from hell.
