[visordown.com] - MV Agusta issues recall over faulty swingarm fixing
MV AGUSTA is recalling certain 2014 models in the US and UK over a faulty swingarm mounting bolt which could lead to complete loss of control of the motorcycle. The Italian firm is recalling 223 motorcycles with production dates ranging from December 18, 2013 to March 10, 2014, which affects the Brutale 675, Brutale 800, Brutale 800 Dragster, Brutale RR, F3 675, F3 800, and the Rivale 800. A statement by recall site RecallUK said: ‘The rear swingarm mounting bolt is not up to specification. This bolt can fail resulting in the loss of directional control of the motorcycle and an increased risk of a crash. ‘MV Agusta is recalling the affected motorcycles and replacing the swingarm mounting bolt.’ MV Agusta has notified dealers of the method to replace the faulty bolt, which will be done free of charge.
