Cool Speedometer throwing tantrums.

Hi all,

My meter gauge takes turns to stop work working. I had to give it a few hard knocks to get the needles moving. Sometimes its the speedometer, at times it's just the temp gauge or the RPM.

Did anyone experience the same issue? Not too confident if it is the cable or the mechanism in the gauge itself.

Most likely an electrical issue. Check the connector at the back of the gauge and any other main connectors from the battery to the gauges. Also look for any wires that may be pinched or turned tightly.

Check your battery voltage. It should be over 12.7V before starting and over 13V at idle. Confirm that the terminals are tight and follow the black cable to the ground point on the frame. Look for signs of corrosion where it attaches.
