but ok using a high temp powder I imagine would work. Ive never used that before. I should look into getting some I guess. I am only allowed to get good stuff if I use our 5k powder coating machine.. lol

Ceramic goes on as a liquid and then is cured in an oven. I don't have a quality paint gun for liquids so I went the route of high temp powder instead.

No... It was pure polyester powder coat... It's not had any problems on my muffler, but the pipes would go through much higher temps so its pretty much wait and watch...

Did the headers in a high temp powder today. Over cure time is 30min instead of 15 and temp is 450 instead 375. I didn't know it was going to have a textured finish to it and thus the jury is still out on my opinion of it. Even it I don't like the surface finish it'll be hard to see under all the bodywork. I wouldn't recommend this for you can unless your want that 200grit sandpaper finish.

Dude I dig that textured finish!!! I've always debated coating my headers and can... I've just never had the stuff to do it.

Can you post an informational article or something so I can see how the process goes? Also let me know how it handles time.

That looks great. I like the textured look to be honest.

So how's it holding up? Wondering if I'll need to heat wrap it.

I know the new high temp stuff I did last is falling off the very bottom where it face the road surface but I keep forgetting to check the forward facing section. The S-bend on the other hand is doing great with just the normal flat black. I'm in the middle of moving and setting up my new badass garage so you'll have to remind me again next week or just not on the very few days(like 5 a year) that I don't ride my bike to work.
