I just upgraded to 3.1.2 via itunes, ran blackrain, done, everything was where it was before. Anyways enough thread hijacking.

Nice to see you moving along

I might want to use the expanding foam for a couple other projects. Where can I find more info?

I've found several kinds of expanding foam in the plumbing/sealant section of the local hardware store. One popular brand is "Great Stuff". This stuff is no-kidding sticky though. Used it for a handful of more 'mundane' projects recently, but it should do the job for this too.

How's the dashboard coming along? - I would be happy just to find a way to mount my iphone under the wind screen and use a bluetooth headset to control it

Just something to think about...I mounted my ipod touch g3 above the dash on a hot day, and the backlight went out. I see the operating temp is rated at 95 degrees Fahrenheit. It was at least that, plus head from the bike at stops...not sure what the iphone is rated, but i'd imagine pretty close to the same.

That sucks - guess maybe it's a good idea to also mount a fan?

How did you mount it? Have any pictures/instructions?

I never finished the mounting bracket, and to gps with the ipod touch you had to use a dock...so at this point I zip-tied it on to the bracket...then it broke, so i dismantled it.

I used the plans from this post: http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15442
