Respect

“Casey is probably the most talented rider I have ever seen on a racetrack” – Jorge Lorenzo.

I guess that means Rossi is just second rate.

Second place is first loser.

Ben Spies had similar comments about Casey. He mentioned that when he first joined the class, faster riders would come around him quite often. All of them he could watch, see what they were doing, and then try to emulate it to get himself faster. Including Valentino. But watching Casey come by, he watched and couldn't figure out what the heck Casey was doing across the board. He was blindingly fast, for unknown reasons doing strange things on the bike. Stoner is comfortable with the bike at attitudes and lack of control that the other riders simply aren't. Watching him man-handle first the Duc, and now even the Honda, it just looks like he has total mastery over the machine. It's almost sad watching the Ducati tow Rossi around on top of it; it's whatever the opposite of mastery is.

It's hard to watch how someone rides when they, not only go by, but then disappear.
