Noob question- turn signals

I'm new to this forum so I apologize in advance if it has already been posted.

I have replaced my two front turn signals after bike was dropped and they work fine. a few days ago I awoke to find it knocked over (still not sure if it was due to wind/didnt put side stand down properly/unleveled ground/ or a parked car that was in front knocked it over) but anyways, my left front and rear turn signals were smashed.

I was looking to replace them, and couldn't help but notice that a certain side turn signal is more expensive than the other. STUPID question now: does it really matter if you buy a different side turn signal and install it on the other side? It seems like they are all essentially the same turn signals, no?

Bear with me, I got my bike in May and have only been riding it for 5 months now.

Not a dumb question... otherwise someone would've answered it by now. Sorry but all of my signals have been pulled so I don't have any to compare. Wierd that they're different prices though.

And welcome.

Hate your bike took another tumble.
Depends on what you mean different. Like bulb an led? As long as they have the same wires, bulb type, an similar numbers you should be fine, if you mix LEDs an bulbs you will need a new relay.
The difference in price may reflect build quality, mark up, or many factors.
Hope this helps a bit

Welcome.

If I remember correctly, you can flip it over. Try disassembling the on one the bike to see if it will work.
There are a few riders on here who might still have the OEM. They may part with them for a small fee.

Left and right turn signals are the same with the VERY minor differences of the drain hole and the color of the plug. When I was fiddling with my lights, I had one OEM signal I was moving around between the four sides.

Where are you seeing the prices? Make sure they are the complete signal vs just some part of it. Could you link it?
