Got tires?

I do.

This is my stock that will probably get me through the better part of the year.

I just got 2 new tires for my CBR today. Bridgestone BT003RS. I have a 110 Bridgestone BT016 and 140 Bridgestone BT090 in there that are going on my 250 this weekend too. And a single 120 BT003R that I'm not sure what I'm going to do with... It'll fit both bikes but I only need it for the track. Maybe I'll bring it with me and see if I can sell it to someone who needs it at a trackday.

I'm ready for the 2010 riding season!

You'll need to add some slicks to your collection

camera phone, sorry

I didn't think black and round rubber was worth the trouble of pulling out a real camera. :P

I plan to do a lot more riding on my 250 than I did last year.

I just picked up the Honda last year so I spent most of my time on that since it was new. But the newness has worn off so I'll probably ride them equally.

250 does have 9500 miles on it though so it's not neglected.

Kelly, how many miles does your bike have on it? Have you passed 2000 yet? :P

12,000 miles here and many more to go... I liked the stock GT501s so much that I had to buy two more sets. :P

110/150 I'm assuming in the 016?

I liked the 090s a lot and I'd keep buying them but I guess they've been phased out for the 003RS which is OK. I'll just run the same tires on both bikes.

Either parts411 in San Dimas or Cycle Rider in Montclair.

Both will mount tires for $15 dollars a piece, wheels off the bike.

Thanks. Are they pretty careful with the mounting or have you noticed scratches/dents after the job?

I called a local dealer and they wanted 100 something dollars and wouldn't let me just bring in the wheels alone for some bullshit policy reason.

I couldn't believe it.

I think cycle gear will mount tires for free too if you buy the tires there and they have a price matching policy so you can get a slick deal if you do your homework.

Got tire?

I picked up a single rear spare wheel with a scooter tire mounted back in the fall. This was intended as a donut, back when I only had the bike. My SO thought it appropriate for a father of two to have means to transport his offspring , so we got a second car. It has a scooter tire mounted, no idea why. She's also a photographer, so I'm required to use a camera with a flash.

I run a Kenda K671on the front and a Kenda K657 on the rear. They offer value over the stock Dunlops, wet traction for confidence in the rain and high mileage with consistent wear. I'll keep buying them and mount them myself.

I've heard its safer to have a shop put your tires on because they need to be balanced and etc??

what exactly do they do when they balance them and what exactly is included in the "etc" part ?
