I've always wanted to make a lightsaber, why buy a generic one when you can make a badass one? Someday I'm going to sit down and carve the hilt from some nice soft wood.

Haha, no, I want the monies and it's an easy job. I'm saving money for a road trip this summer.

And I'm looking at the Yamaha FZ6 or fully faired SV650 to tide me over until I win the lottery or marry a very wealthy diplomat.

(Not that I have enough money for either of the above bikes, at least not until they start taking souls as payment instead of cash.)

If you're selling your soul for a bike you may as well get a panigale superleggera

street legal motogp bikes ftw
also between those options I'd take the sv any day, fairings are comfy

I'd rather barter my soul skillfully to get a better soul then trade that for two souls and sell one of the souls for a bike and keep one for myself just in case the bike breaks down or something.

gotta have a plan B sometimes.

Alrighty, so. If anyone wants to plan something for tomorrow, we should do it today. Otherwise, I'm also down for a Sunday ride.

would anyone be interested in some take off diablo rosso IIs? Im getting new tires before my next track day which will be soon. These have much rubber left on the sides, not so much the middle. One track day and everything else was chill street riding. they definitely have a few track sessions in them

why does everyone have to be on the wrong side of baltimore, there are some crazy fun roads up here that I'd love to show more people through but it'd be a bit of a hike. Luckily there are a few fun roads near umbc that I'll be riding with sykes on sunday. Probably around noon or so.

Great time, and great roads and great company.

Yeah! It was a great ride. I almost bought it twice though.. haha. I went into the grass once, and I saved myself from what could have a really nasty highside on a decreasing radius turn. And on the Bay Bridge home, the wind was so strong it was like driving on solid ice.

But overall! It was a fun day. By the time I got home, I was on the bike for 6 1/2 hours. Which dwarf's my VA Beach trip haha. Oh god I'm tired . Got to explore parts of Maryland I've never been to. We also ran into a ZX6R, which was pretty cool. It's a shame you got called into work @Sirref but there's always next time!

I work Mon-Fri 9:00AM-5:00PM. The best I could do Friday is leave a little early from work.

However, it is really slow at work and so they're lenient if I want to randomly use PTO.

I may be down for a friday ride depending on the time of said ride since I have work 5-12. I'm also planning on being in OC, MD saturday during the day for their summer job fair and back home for work that night and sunday won't work because it's a family holiday.

Shame I missed today though sounded like fun other than the bay bridge wind.

I spent today photographing horses outside and the weather was great but apparently on my way out the door I snatched the wrong bottle of sun block, that being, the expired, no-longer-works-AT-ALL sunblock, and I got so fried... Wish I'd been riding.

It's supposed to rain on Saturday. But I'm free pretty much all day on Friday, so anytime works for me as long as it's after about noon. I have work next Saturday and also family stuff on Sunday. The weather doesn't look as nice for this week but still rideable.

Hmm, I can probably do that. 12-12:30 or so and then leave enough time to get back for work will probably work for me.

Saturday is going to suck though, if it rains then it'll just suck more since I need to get down to OC, MD either fri night or sat morning to be there at 9-10am sat morning then get back for work around 5 and I'm not sure where in that block of time I'm able to sleep :/

Sleep early on Friday night and then leave early on Saturday morning before there's any traffic!

Ever been on Thurston Rd? Twistiiieees!!

But I don't like the idea of leading a ride because I'm kinda still a noob (2400 miles?) and I'm not sure about all the hand signals (the leader of the ride I went on on Saturday used them) and I'm not really sure what kind of pace to set. I usually just kind of wander when I'm by myself as opposed to ripping through all the turns lol

I may have figured it out!

Link to original page on YouTube.

I haven't been on thurston rd but I'm down for a fri afternoon ride weather permitting from 12-2:30 or so, that should leave me enough time to get back and ready for work.

Hand signals are pretty easy to me. You only really need "slow down" and "stop"
slow down is waving towards the ground with your hand palm down and stop is holding your hand out stationary. Turn signals work for everything else so long as people follow the leader. There are a lot of people that use more signals but most of them aren't really as critical as those two + turn signals.

If you lead you can set any pace you want and I'd be content just cruise behind you if I don't know the road.

Any pace you set I can follow

Cool. Let's tentatively plan on 12.30 on Friday? Aren't you up by Baltimore? Thurston Rd area is near Dickerson MD. I can ride to meet you just about anywhere and figure out how to get to the good roads from there.
