There are more obese people in the world than hungry people.

Maybe if those really fat people didn't eat so much it could be spread out to feed the hungry.

Well there's two kinds of people.

The kind that eats a **** load of food but hit the gym hard 5 times a week, staying fit and healthy.

and then there's the people who eat 300 cheeseburgers a year and can't leave their house to get the mail without struggling.

300 cheeseburgers a year? My wife enjoys reality-based programs and some of the weight related ones we have seen had people who routinely ate FIVE or more burgers a DAY. Do the math and that is 300 in TWO months. Just sayin'.

Junk/fast food is also cheaper than healthy food for the most part. If someone is trying to save money, it's easy to get filled up on 3 $1 burgers vs. eating a small $3 salad.

I'm not trying to defend obesity, but I think the article is a failure.

^ Yep, pretty much.

The richer you are, the healthier you can be. If you have money, you can make more decisions. If money was no object, I'd eat like a king. No more preservatives and other crap your body doesn't need. I'd buy organic. There's too much crap we put in our bodies just so that the food can have a longer shelf-life. And then there's stuff that isn't even necessary like food coloring. Who cares what color your Gatorade is..

Right on dude, i can't afford half the stuff my son wants to eat because it's GOOD for you ergo expensive. I haven't been to a fast food joint since Carrolls opened in late 60's. McDogdoos ran them out of town. I don't eat out at all really, however if i do it's topshelf (for the oldlady).
