Imasculine and homosexual are not synonymous.

Story time.

I'm very straight, but I'm not a big beefy masculine guy. I'm kinda young looking and don't grow a lot of facial hair. I'm also not 'super macho bro dude' when I talk. I'm an average engineering student, not the alpha male type.

To contrast that, my best friend since middle school has been biking and running with me forever. We are members of the same church, and each of our families have practically adopted the other as a member of their own. He's always been a lady's man, he's had a face full of hair since he was in 8th grade (no joke, he gets a 12:00 shadow and a 5:00 shadow), he kicks my ass on a bicycle, can run further and faster than I can, can lift more weight than I can, and can drink me under the table at will. After a long fight with depression in high school, he decided to finally make his sexual preference public. He's gay, yet he's more masculine than many guys I know. You know what we do in our free time? We cat-call at ladies and call them names because it's fun.

/Story time

I'm not being hyper-sensitive or overly PC. I just don't like when people call things 'gay' when they really mean it's just undesirable or stupid or weird or annoying, etc etc. Just use the word you mean. It's English, there's plenty of words to pick.

Thanks, I've ridden both and I'd still probably choose the triple for quite a few reasons. The Z1000 is a great bike though, I'd have gotten one if it checked just a few more boxes for me. But then again for the price of a z1000 a zx6r (left over 2012s) would have been a more appealing choice for me.

Just took the triumph out for the first time in Ohio+new flyscreen I think it fills out the look of the bike pretty good.

Officially living in Ohio now for some time to come. Its kinda funny for the month I didn't have the bike I found myself missing the 250 more than it.

Cool, so it sounds like he was the biker, not the construction worker?

P.S. I don't think your friend is quite the "ladies' man" you think he is.

Don't know what that picture is, don't know what you're referencing.

Just know that I prefer to not use 'gay' when I refer to the inferior. I find it offensive.

P.S. I don't think you know my friend at all. Keep your comments to yourself, or PM me.

With the flyscreen, how's the windblast compared to the Ninjette?

Probably still more than the ninja, but the air is usually a bit smoother flowing too. The only time it gets bad is if you pass 80mph then it gets a little irritating especially if the wind is blowing. I'm probably going to get the visor next at some point since I anticipate more highway riding in the future.

I have the visor on mine. I can't compare it to just the flyscreen, but over 80 it starts to flap quite a bit - and the wind is still fairly significant. I prefer the look of yours so at some point in the future there's a good chance I'll swap mine out.

Oh, well maybe I won't worry about it then. Got a bellypan on order now. After that frame sliders and the seat cowl maybe, and I think I'm done adding stuff to it for a long while.

Sorry, probably my fault. I tried to lead it to a 'PM me instead of bogging the thread' kind of deal, but apparently that didn't go the way I planned...

I'm a thread wrecking OT poster. My bad dude. It happens more often than I'd like.

@choneofakind I'm not mad or anything, you don't have to apologize. Threads go OT all the time discussions will always lead to other discussions, Hell just talking to people in person topics go way off topic lol

The fact you don't know what that picture is of makes me feel really really old. I am, mind you. But, it actually really makes me feel it. Thanks.
