My new family member..

So all day, me and the wife are looking at dogs. She been wanting one for a while now. We were supposed to be just looking! Ofcourse it never works that way, so we came home with one. She loves him, I liked him up till about an hour ago when he took a bathroom break in my living room.. Blah. He's a Pomeranian with Yorkie. Weird combo I think.

Two real low-strung breeds. Should be mellow influence in the house.

So cute. Am I going to run in to you at the mall or somewhere with you carrying this thing around? hahaha. That's what my mother-in-law does. We have a Cairn Terrier (like Toto) that wishes it was a lap dog but it weighs about 10 pounds to much.

Well the wife felt bad, because I didn't even really want a dog to begin with. So she named him Ninja. Yup thats right, name after our bikes. She ordered some Kawasaki Ninja sweat shirts for this thing to wear!

Drew, I am very sure the wife will bring this thing everywhere!! Is is a cute dog though!

They learn very fast make enough noise, and the cage door will open. Try to get over it for the first few days, and it should stop. It's hard to do for such a small puppy, but it has to be done.
I've put puppies at 8 weeks old on a 15 hour flight from Germany. After the trip in the fly box for that long, they love the box. It becomes a safe haven for them.
It also helps to take the puppy out in the yard every hour to hour and a half for the first few days. Make a big deal when it makes #1 or #2 in the yard, and go back in the house. After 3 days, if it makes in the house, that's your fault.

Good luck.

+1. always remember that crate training will be and is your best friend. I swear by them and my digs love them. They are trained to run when we need to leave the house and get treats for it. It's a godsend!
