07 Daytona 675. Thoughts? ;P

Alright so my dad is thinking of a new bike and for all intents and purposes this one fits the bill... Brilliantly. Some light track and twisty roads along with a sprinkling of city riding.
-2007 Triumph Daytona
-One previous owner
-never dropped
-4000 km
-Sold at Local dealer back in 07 and all maint done and accounted for
-asking $4600 willing to wiggle

Plus its sexy and slim... thoughts????

I'm a huge fan of the 675 as well! Sounds and looks like none of the Japanese bikes, not to mention the extra midrange and low end power that so many people love 05-06 Ninja 636's for. Extra cc's do that

I'm a little confused by the original post though, is the bike for your dad? What's he currently ride? That bike is more than capable for twisites and track use.

That sounds like a great deal, If everything checks out then I'm sure your father would be happy with it. The 675 is a damn good looking bike.

Yeah the bike would primarily be my dads, he has been on a naked 04 sv650. Great bike but its been through hell, looks like it too. I'll probably be able to steal it a few days a week so im in it for this buy also. And yes it's that nice gold orange colour.

I went and sat on a 675 today. Definitely different than anything else I've ever seen. But thats a good thing It wasn't the most comfortable thing I've ever sat on, but that could be due to me having a chub as soon as I saw it… wait… what???

To me, the 675 is one of the most uncomfortable bikes. I haven't ridden one. My opinion is totally based on sitting on all of the bikes at the IMS. If it will be mostly a street bike, I would look at the CBR. That thing is super comfortable for a supersport. If for the track, the 675 is perfect!

I wouldn't expect them to be comfortable. In a way, these bikes aren't meant for the street lol

How is a bike that is essentially a racing motorcycle with lights meant for the street? I'm not saying not to get it, because I would lol.

I understand that. I just don't think it shouldn't be expected to be comfy, as it's a super sport. I wouldn't expect it to be comfy at all. Machines like this seem to fast for the street lol I can't really explain myself.

Body size and preference. I rode an s1000rr with foamie race seat, not bad at all but i Wouldn't ride past 2 hours with either. Totally fine for around the City. IMO. So awesomeeee

no nick, they're too fast to reach their limits on the street. there's a difference. They don't go any faster than a Corvette, or a Camero, and those are both perfectly street legal. Supersports are an absolute blast!!!!! They're just kinda aggressive and have gobs of power up top. Go ride one and tell me you don't love it.

They run in Supersport and Daytona Sportbike in the US, as well as in World Supersport. (the classes allow larger displacement with less cylinders)

Couple friends have them, they dont seem to have had any problems.

I almost bought one of these after I sold my 250R, but I wanted better fuel economy since I use mine for commuting when it's dry and went with a Monster 796. The 675 is such an awesome looking bike and the exhaust note sound is very distinct.
