Thumbs up Area P - GB - 2015 (Feb 18 - Mar 6 - 2015)

Area P – Group Buy – 2015 (Feb 18 – Mar 6 - 2015)

The Area P GB is offered for both 250 and 300 models and is available exclusively to ninjette.org members only. Member @csmith12 has once again volunteered to assist with administrating the GB thread.

It won’t be based on quantity or minimums. It won’t be based on one particular style system. Payments are not required until the GB ends and we actually begin assembling/shipping orders. Here are links to our:

250 Standard Mount Full Systems
250 High Mount Race Full Systems
300 Standard and Ultra High Mount Full Systems

All systems come with our new Flat Conical Billet End Cap.

In addition - If we reach combined orders of quantity 10 (250/300 systems), at the conclusion of the GB and after all the orders are assembled/shipped –– those names will get “dropped into a hat”. Alex will then pull one name out and that person will get their exhaust system purchase price refunded!

The 250/300 GB will start today, Feb 18th, 2015 and ends Mar 6th, 2015. At the conclusion, order processing will commence.

Ninja 250/300 Systems - $100.00 off any full system. $125.00 off if you add a Jet Kit or FI Micro Programmer.

*Limited Quantities. One order per member. No dealers. Shipping cost within the lower 48 states is $22.50. International order shipping costs to be quoted based on location

(link to last year's group buy thread)

Nice! I'll do some figuring tonight. I may just be able to swing this.

Is PayPal an acceptable payment method?

Will the Juice Box i have work with this?

If this GB is similar to last year's, PayPal will be an acceptable method of payment. I will confirm this with Kerry so we can 100% sure.

The Juice Box question... I am not sure what you have (2bros? Bizzaz? Something else?). If you give me the brand and model number you have, I will confirm with Kerry for ya.

So by my limited research, the 250 high mount race system is 500 bucks, or 570 with the jet kit? This includes the exhaust gaskets and the bracket for the passenger peg correct? If this is the case, put me on the list, thanks Chris!

Order List
  1. Bigballsofpaint

Jay, couple of questions for you.

You want the 12'' or 18'' length muffler?
You want carbon fiber or stainless steel?

Also, there are 2 Dynojet kit options. Need to know which of these you want included with the order.
#2193 (for OEM airbox configurations)
#2193R (for non OEM airbox configurations, such as K&N Flanged Filter)

Man... the things I have done to that poor 250 pictured in the 250 High Mount Race page...

IT WAS SO PRETTY. I'M SO SORRY BIKE.

The exhaust is the best around though. I love this thing. Absolutely top tier quality.

What gives the most power? 12 or 18 in carbon. If its the same, the 18 then for the noise.

Still not 100% on the jet kit, just was making sure pricing was correct. Not sure if im going efi or not, but ill know before the GB ends.

Do you want me to add you to the list AwDang?

18'' - 98db @5k rpms
12'' - 104-106db @5k rpms

I have run my 250 with the 18'' stainless w/ quiet core at JGP many times. Maybe about 100db at 10k rpms says the lady at the start/finish at JGP. I am not sure how accurate their readings are, but they never gave me a second thought.

Take your time, we got plenty. The 18'' has a slight power advantage over the 12''.

Not sure if it would be enough for me to notice on the street anyway.

1. Will Paypal still an available payment method to participate? It was last year but want to be 100% certain.
A - Yes, this is the preferred method of payment.

2. Are there any known compatibility issues with this product? http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/t...erName=VigLink compatible
This box is said to be compatible with Area P maps, but wanted to confirm.
A - Really have no idea. We don't create/test our maps on anything but the Area P/Fuel Moto Micro Programmer. I don't know how extensive Two Brothers Map data base is, if any at all.

3. Are the old style end caps still available if requested?
A - Sorry no. We've discontinued the older turn down style end caps/exit tips. If we were able to make something special on a case by case basis, it would be similar, but not exactly the same. It would not have the rolled edge on the exit tip.

I also guessed that the steel would crash better, but I forwarded the question to Kerry anyway for his recommendation. I will post his response as soon I get it and update your order in the list.

While an Alum version would be interesting, I couldn't imagine it holding up well in many crash scenarios but the weight savings would be awesome vs. stock.

A. 300 Systems - "The Standard Mount System/Long Quiet Core Muffler has the added benefit of being the quietest of the systems, and also having one of the smoothest, strongest power-bands overall. The Standard Mount System/Standard Muffler and Ultra High Mount System/Standard Muffler are very similar to each other and hit noticeably harder in the 7000 – 9000 rpm area as they really start to make power."

A - As an ex-pro, I always get a chuckle from this question. I mean, they aren't meant to be frame sliders. They would both crash equally well..... I've never seen an appreciable difference between them, although the stainless would more likely "dent" and continue on it's way. It really should not be a top reason why you choose one over the other. In this instance of pricing and "GB", you should likely take advantage of the CF being lighter and emitting less radiant heat.

Am I correct in assuming that the discontinued pregen systems are not being brought back as a one off production run for this specialty occasion?

Oh I know there not a slider.
I just want the one thats going to hold up best to a crash on Sat so I can ride on Sun. Without having to go thru contortions getting things back together. That actually seems like the stainless as I thought.

I'll call Kerry tomorrow and make a def decision.

I will ask Kerry, but don't hold your breath.

Interestingly enough, the pregen Area P system I got a few years ago still hangs in my garage with 0 miles. Maybe I will consider a secret bid auction for it.

Definitely do not "hold your breath" on that one my friend!

That pristine system hanging in your garage may very well bring you a small fortune.

A - No we haven't offered that service for many years (as we've indicated in the past on GB's and other inquires). Been burned too many times on the location being wrong and/or not where the client asked for, or they change their minds after we've already installed them and want them in a different location... We can sell you the stainless steel bungs in 12mm or 18mm; but we won't install them.
