You don't want me to quote shop price for oil change. I would imagine shop price is at least X2 price I listed above. I know tires will cost more as well, which I'm glad I won't need to change for a while.

oh, why would the parts cost more? I can understand maybe the filter maybe? but a lot of kawi riders on 600s riders also use Rotella T synthetic, same that I'm using right now on the 250r

Just to give you the break down:

2008 250 Ninja
Oil Filter $7.95
1 quart of synethic oil $10.95 x 2 (250 Ninja require 1.7 quart)

2007 ZX6R Ninja
Oil Filter $9.95
1 quart of synethic Oil $10.95 x 4 (ZX6R require 3.6 quart)

No problem using the same oil, just require more in the ZX6R. Also, the 2008 250 Ninja require only regular gasoline while the ZX6R needs premium.

ahh, good to know, because in the next year or 2 at the latest, I plan on moving to a 600.
insurance + less mpg I already knew, maintenance-wise I wasn't exactly sure how much more it'd be
