Bikelitez Undertail FE + Wheel Hugger?
Anyone have the Bikelitez 'SS' fender eliminator AND a wheel hugger?
Would love to see if the hugger blocks view of the license plate or not. |

You might want to find out what kind of hugger as well. Some curve over the wheel and then some go straight outwards like the a-tech one.

I guess I wasn't clear enough, let me clarify.
The Bikelitez SS Undertail Fender Eliminator seen below places the license plate and LED blinkers under the riders seat, as opposed to directly under the break light. I would like to see this FE kit installed along with any wheel hugger, to see if the hugger itself obscures the view of the license plate. It LOOKS like there would be enough clearance to view the plate fine, but if anyone has both already installed I would love to see before investing the money myself. |

Atech's lip sits a little higher than sportisi's. But I think both won't obsure it.

How strict are the NY LEO's on that type of plate location? It doesn't fly in CA anymore, and folks with their plates buried that far under the tail get harassed and ticketed quite a bit. It's not an expensive ticket, but it's a fixit ticket meaning you need to get thing back to legal and have it signed off or it becomes a more expensive violation.

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, it all depends on the cop. I've seen plenty of bikes around with undertail plates, but I know there are plenty of asshole cops around who would probably love to 'bust some punk on a sportbike.'
edit: legally though, it has to be rearmost section of the bike My stunningly good looks, slick talking, and family PBA card can only get me out of so much trouble. |

Still got the 2005. But I'm hoping to make the upgrade sometime soon.
