Saturday 9/24 Come remake history! (Bay Area / Northern Cali)

I'm planning on heading out to this on Saturday early AM. Leaving from Milpitas between 630/7am, I'm going to take Calaveras Rd to 84 to get here. Anyone care to join?

One hundred years ago a photo was taken during Livermore’s Motorcycle Day on September 24th, 1911. Now that it is 2011, it’s time to make history again. Six blocks will be closed off to help us re-create this historic photo of over 300 riders and their motorcycles. The resulting photo will be placed in the Livermore City Hall along with the original taken 100 years ago.

The streets will be closed from 7AM to 10AM. The staging will begin sometime after 7AM in an adjacent parking lot next to 1st St. At that time, we will designate specific areas for various groups, have them move to the photo area and shoot the shot. We hope wrap it up by 9:30 or 10AM at the latest.

Would love to do this, but will be staying close to home for awhile with new little monster (check out off-topic section). I hope the pic turns out great! (and if not, there's always photoshop, which wasn't available to those poor saps 100 years ago.)

That looks amazing. Except I actually have friends from the UK over that has other plans already. Let us know how it goes!

Hey all, just an update here.

The meet was pretty straight fwd. showed up, parked where available and stood and joked around as we waited for our pictures to be taken.

they had one man on a ladder who took the panoramic, then they did another with a guy in the bed of a truck who took pics section by section.

afterwards around 9am I went to get some McDonald's breakfast
