Agreed - he grabbed a whole handful of brake and sent the bike flying, when there was more than enough time and space to come to a controlled stop with proper technique.

he panicked. he couldve skid his tire all the way.

maybe he shouldve just slowed down. I think he was just in a rush and didn't observe his surroundings and such.

Looking at it a few times it seems as though he didn't even try. He goes to go around the car and then just practically jumps off the bike instead of trying anything else.

The wide angle lens tricks the eye in a couple ways. The truck was actually much closer than it looked, however he was also going much slower than what it looked like.

Regardless, he definitely could have stopped safely in time. But knowing that the truck was closer than it looks in the video takes the mystery out of why he panicked the way he did.

The way he fell it seems like his rear slipped out, rather than the front.

Whether it was from inexperience, panic, or stupidity, it was handled wrong, and I'm sure he's learned something from it.

It was purposely misleading.

Also, he could've braked lol It shouldn't have been that close, but it was.

he could have stoped. he started to slow down, then acclerated and switched lanes, then dumped the bike. that made no sense, he obviously saw the truck and started to do the right thing, then went down hill from there. damn lucky too almost got trapped under the wheel.

I've played the video through a few times and I can see this order of events:
* He spots the truck pulling onto the road and into the far left lane well ahead of him.
* He probably doesn't want to slow down and be stuck behind it so he does a shoulder check before changing lanes.
* Upon bringing his head back to facing forward he (and we) discover that the truck hasn't just pulled out into the far left lane but is actually doing some kind of u-turn and is going back in the direction it came from cutting across the road.
* You can see him almost immediately start braking when he spots the truck's, u-turn, manoeuvre
* You can then see him turn the wheel slightly to the right... while still braking hard.
* The rest goes exactly how it normally goes when you apply hard front braking and then decide to turn.

Rear brake takedown. His right hand can be seen immediately sliding down the road. He could and should have stopped properly.

Was the bike a GSXR? That could answer alot.

Truck was making a wide right turn into the parking lot, it seems.

yep I'm thinking the same, you can see the shadow of his front weel skidding.
He didn't jump of his bike, he fall was caused by loss of traction, caused by whatever (panic, reaction,...)

He could have definitely have slowed down, and moved back over to the left or stop. I'm sure it was a surprise to the other motorists on the road

So your family is from Belarus then?

Also, why in the hell is Russian the most used language in McDonalds?

Most of the employees are from Europe. The AMERICAN boss hires Russians before Americans. Don't know why lol Probably gets some sort of bonus or something. I can't watch the video now. I'll tell you what he said later.

Here is my translation:

Rider: Look what you've done *****
Random Dude: Are you okay?
Rider: I'm good, I'm good.
High Vis dude: Are you okay?
Rider: I'm fine.
Rider (to truck driver): What are you doing!?
Trucker: There was still a red light. What are you doing?
Rider walks away
