Close call today

Didn't install my Go Pro camera to my new Icon Crossbone Racer helmet (Picked up today) And while coming home from school orientation (12 grade) and basketball practice I filled my tank up at Quik Trip and while going traffic was backed a bit on the opposite lane the idiot in front of me apparently stopped and let the car roll so it looked like It was going. I was going 40 indicated and I noticed he was stopped and had to brake hard and I locked the wheel up anddddd slid in oil left on the road I DID SAVE the bike idk how just natural reaction plus Im a big guy too. The bike whipped left to right fish tailing and the tire screamed lol. Was crazy couldnt swerve to my right traffic and to the opposite lane across the double was traffic. Dude was turning no turn signals or brake lights... I was like WTF. I wish'd I go pro'd it.

Yeah I need the Hero2. I'll pick one up soon and probably give my other one away here if someone covers like 10 bucks shipping overnight USPS has a 5$ flat rate box and its 5 more to expedite it for overnight shipping. But yeah. I almost flipped when it fish tailed guy next to me seen me save it and gave a thumbs up Had my shorts on and basketball shoes... BUT i did put on my stryker knee pads helmet and a stryker vest and the icon arm and mesh jacket thing thats a stryker so I know not to squid it (;

Why not use the original as a second perspective for your more aggressive/adventure rides. Like side fairing or gas tank mounting but looking at you.

Also I'm glad you're okay

The lack of brake lights make think how much of a safety hazard we create when we only use engine breaking :S

It was crazy no turn signals or brake lights not even the taillights worked or illuminated at all. I assumed he was rolling cause it looked that way and a bike length from it I slammed the brakes on and instantly slid on oil on the road and fishtailed crazy haha my eyes behind the visor were like then afterwards I was like

Always put your foot on the rear break to illuminate the tail when engine breaking.

Good to hear you saved it. Gotta make sure you always keep an eye on traffic and what other vehicles are doing. Try not to rely on only indicator and brake lights. With good situational awareness, it shouldn't be too hard to gauge distances. Just my 2 cents.
