Yep, I do most of all the work myself...except for tires, but only because I dont have a machine to balance the wheels with

I replaced the tires on my 250 myself and static balanced them. They rode great. Getting the tires off with a harbor freight bead breaker was a piece of cake but getting them back on. $&%*#_&$*#_*%^#&_)*(#@&%#%+

Newb times, GOOD times.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I decided to meet up with a group of strangers to ride unfamiliar roads on a machine not too familiar to me.

I learned quite a lot in that one day:

Riding on the HWY is not as terrifying as I thought. (relax, don't fight against the wind, make wise lane choices and anticipate what the vehicles will do)

Shifting and decelerating should be done before you enter the turn and the speed should be what you're comfortable with:
(if it's TOO FAR OUTSIDE your comfort zone, you're riding beyond your limits)

Even stock Road Winner tires provide good traction on wet roads.
(steady on the throttle and relax)

Need to practice stopping and starting on a hill Safely (some Newb stalled his bike twice trying to get going on a hill )

If you ride at the speed limit or a just a few miles over it on wet roads (less than 10 in my case) you will have no problems no matter the road.

I was surprised at the turn out. Everybody rode safe and enjoyed themselves. DeviantTurtle took us on some nice roads. It was nice meeting those of you that showed up-- great group of guys and gal. I think we should do this more often. Thanks for taking me along for the ride.

So many good roads so little time to ride them all! I think a few more local Ga trips than next big trip should be up to Pigeon forge for a weekend, It is a great ride

I'm off this weekend... once the rain dries up, i'm in too. Cold + Wet = Not any fun anymore.

I'm on the Southside. our roads are not as curvy as I'd like. but once the weather warms up and i get better tires and stiffen it up a bit, I'd like to take a run up to the loop in Suches. I love passing people on Wolf Pen Gap on "slow" bikes".

It's looks like I won't be riding this weekend because I got reminded it is a bachelor party weekend so I should stay away from the motorcycle this weekend. For those who are going out I recommend decent winter gloves with the freeze out glove liners and neck warmer, you'll be happy you got them.

The owner of the place said he has sold a ton of white ones but has had only 2 black and 2 green. He also said he has ordered more of them. Would love to see the black one but I am sold on the Special Edition Kawi Green one. It looked BAD@SS!!!! He had it next to a green 636 and I promise the 300 looked just as good if not better.

@vman1313 that bike has your name tatooed on it. Don't show up on the next ride unless that's what you're straddling.

I know right!! I want it soooooo bad. The only small dislike was the carbon fiber looking stripe that it has but its not horrible...just a personal and picky thing. Of course I had seen pics of it but it looks a million times better in person. I am going to go first thing after work on Friday and if it is still there, I will try to pull the trigger on it. I really SHOULDN'T since I am in the middle of buying a house and WON'T unless they give me something decent for my BuSA and possibly/probably my Ninja. Id trade them both for it!!!
