white smoke from exhaust and stall
I started my bike this morning and it idled fine for about 10 seconds then started shooting large clouds of white smoke out the exhaust. The bike would then eventually stall out and die. If I gave it gas the bike would keep running and not stall. Well after about 5 times of dying the smoke went away and its been riding fine all day. No maintence has been done recently its got 10k miles amd I had my valves done at 7500. Does anyone know what this could be? I let it sit at work for 6 hours today then started it and again no issue it out of the blue happened this morning

Yes, check the levels and aspect of oil and coolant. If everything is normal, it could have been some night condensation that got vaporized with the heat of the engine and there is no need to worry.

Check the air filter and look inside the airbox for oil. Did it look like smoke or vapor/steam? Was there any smell associated with it? One side or both? Were you on reserve? When is the last time you filled the tank?
It seems odd, but if there was a significant amount of water (condensation) in the tank that was drawn in it possibly could have produced some water vapor from the exhaust, and run poorly, until it ran through. |

Coolant level looks like its where it always is so id say that's okay. My air filter looks clean no oil found a. Bolt but no oil. The engine oil itself still looks good not milky or anything. Started it this morning about an hour later than yesterday and it didn't do it. It started and ran fine
