I bought the thingie and i have a problem. I've connected everything, but it's not working properly. The neutral signal doesn't reset the counter. I've connected it to a neutral lead which is going to a speedometer. I checked the "N" light on the dash and it's 12V on one side and 12V on the other. When I put to a neutral, bottom signal goes to 0V. Is this appropriate for the sensor?

Thx, Andrej

On the Ninjas, the Neutral light gets power via the brown ignition wire. The neutral switch provides ground on the green wire when the transmission is in neutral. The light always has +, and gets - to complete the circuit when it's actually in neutral. The - connection resets the gear indicator.

I have no idea if your Yamaha is the same.
