Energica motorcycle: new commercial agreements in Germany and California

Modena, 2017 Dec. 7th

Energica Motor Company S.p.A. strengthens its presence on German and American territory.

The high-performance electric motorcycle manufacturer has signed new commercial agreements with Moto Club Santa Monica and Coors Zweirad.

Moto Club Santa Monica

The Californian dealer is located in the most populous state of the United States and the most active in EV’s field.

Santa Monica has recently approved an aggressive plan to develop the EV charging infrastructure. The $2.4 million plan calls for expanding the network of charging ports from just under 100 to 300 by 2020. The plan has a long-term goal of 1,000 chargers by 2025.

“Governor Brown has recently confirmed a strong acceleration on the electric front,” says Stefano Benatti, CEO of Energica Motor Company Inc., “His strategy will bring California to meet the 80% emission reduction goals by 2050. This is therefore the “electrical” territory for excellence, and for this reason, Energica has decided to set up its own operational headquarters here in San Francisco to preside and expand our commercial network. ”

Coors Zweirad

The German dealer Coors Zweirad is located in Steinhagen in the eastern region of North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous of the sixteen German Länder, which hosts one of the fifteen “Spitzencluster”, the German excellence clusters in the field of the 4.0 industry.

“Germany is investing heavily in sustainable mobility: the government decided also to extend the fund to reduce emissions to German cities, improve public transport and charging infrastructures” says Livia Cevolini, CEO of Energica Motor Company SpA. “Germany is among the first markets and for this reason we have decided to strengthen our presence on the territory”.
